Sony Xperia P Gets Official Android 4.0.3 Firmware Update


Sony Corporation, Japan based leading electronics manufacturer is now with no relationship with Ericsson and they have Xperia devices making it big count. Sony just like other manufacturers is busy in rolling out Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade to their qualified smartphones and until now they have covered all the models including Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Live with Walkman, Xperia Arc S, Neo V, Xperia Ray, Tablet S has been updated to the latest Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.


Motorola and Sony has been criticized for not releasing ICS update to the existing phones but late realization by them has certainly pushed the things as they have almost finished upgrade to all the qualified devices. Today, Sony has started rolling out the ICS upgrade to Tablet P and we would like to let you know that last week Xperia Active too received the love of Ice Cream Sandwich. The 5.5 inches Dual TFT capacitive touchscreen display tablet had just the problem with ICS upgrade as how it would go with dual screen.




Among the various improvement and enhancements included in this upgrade are the following –


Streamlined user interface
Drag and Drop Folder creation
Improved multi tasking
Improved browser performance
Direct access to full sized sd card
Instant toggling between mobile and desktop optimized pages
Offline access to web pages
Access to PlayMemories Online
Always on Calculator, photo editor and other small handy applications
The Sony Tablet P ICS update will be available in select countries but Sony hasn’t provided the list. These upgrade are been sent to the users via the OTA notifications and also users can check them manually as well. To get this update on your tablet you need to connect it using the Wi Fi and when you are ready to go once when you have taken a backup of the most important thing on your tablet then click on Download. It would take approximately 30 minutes of time for the updates to be downloaded and not more than 5 minutes for the updates to be applied to your tablet. For this operation you don’t require to have cables or PC software as the updates goes over the air and so its called OTA update.
