How to download Windows 8 Beta

Well I still remember the first version of Windows 8 which got leaked way back in Sept ’10, which was 32 bit, build 7850. But there was nothing much for users to explore in it. In Sept ’11, Microsoft unveiled Windows 8 Developers preview which was available for download. It was made available for app developers to develop and test “metro style apps”.
On 29th Feb. ’12, Microsoft released Windows 8 Beta version or Consumer Preview version for users to download and test. Microsoft claims that more than 100,000 changes have been made since they released developer’s version. It doesn’t have full features as Windows 8 is still under development. We will be covering the different features of Windows 8 in our upcoming articles. Till then if you want to download and install it in your machine or on a virtual machine, you can download Windows 8 beta from the below link. Do check out the minimum requirements for Windows 8 before downloading. If your machine supports Windows 7, then apart from few features, Windows 8 is supposed to work fine on your machine.
